Calling All Performers!

Register online for the Crossfield Elementary Talent Show!

All acts welcome! Acts divided into TWO shows.

Registration DEADLINE: January 25th

  • BOTH registration AND music must be received by Jan 25
  • Register online* using the link above or by returning the form below to the front office
  • Instructions on how to “cut” your music to the appropriate length are on the BACK OF THIS FLYER
  • Music can be submitted via email* ( or by CD to the front office
  • *We prefer this method, please.

Rehearsals: Wednesday, February 7 @ 5:30 – 6:30 or 6:30-7:30pm OR Thursday, February 8 @ 4:00-5:30pm

Dress Rehearsal: Wednesday, 2/21 @ 6:00-7:00pm OR 7:00-8:00pm (slots will be assigned)

Performance Date: Friday, Feb 23rd @ 6:00-7:00pm OR 7:30-8:30pm (show will be assigned)

  • Parental permission is required
  • Acts must be 3 minutes or less
  • All performers must stay for the finale
  • All performers must be Crossfield students
  • Acts must be elementary school age-appropriate and lyrics subject to approval

Instructions for Cutting Music

For your convenience, below is just one example (using iTunes) of how to shorten music. If you have trouble, or do not use iTunes, there are many instructional videos available on YouTube. PURCHASE:

If you do not own a copy of the song you will need to purchase it (most are $0.99). Open iTunes, click STORE from top menus, in the top right SEARCH box type the name of the song and hit enter. Click on the cost of the song and follow instructions to purchase.


  1. In iTunes, click LIBRARY from top menus
  2. Determine where you want the song to end (prior to the 3 minute mark) and note that time.
  3. Right click on the song in your iTunes library.  Click “Song Info” then click on “Options.”
  4. Place a checkmark next to “Stop” and enter the desired end time.  Click “OK.”
  5. With the song highlighted, click “File” (at the top left of the screen), “Convert” then “Create AAC Version” (for MAC) or “WAV version” (for Windows). A copy of the song with the new end time will be created.


  1. In iTunes, click LIBRARY from top menus
  2. Click on the new version of the song (less than 3 mins) to highlight.
  3. Right click and select “Show in Finder” (for MAC) or “Show in Windows Explorer” (for Windows).
  4. You can now just drag the song file/icon to an open email or note where to find it in your folders.
  5. Email the song file to
